For the end-user, the focus is often: “I want to solve my problem quickly now with as little time investment as possible.” For the providers of software, cloud platforms, and “apps,” the focus is on selling their software product, but not necessarily on a long-term support relationship that considers a global perspective for your company. Often, a solution is quickly chosen without it being entirely clear what the actual core problem is or whether all requirements have been considered globally. This regularly leads to only suboptimal results, sometimes with counterproductive effects elsewhere.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the latest, when an additional user comes on board or when data needs to be transferred from one system to another, the first problems begin. The initially “simple” solution quickly turns out to be a wrong decision that can cause many costs and, in the worst case, even damage of a legal or financial nature. If you suddenly need the data in a different context (e.g., accounting instead of customer acquisition), it is then duplicated with great time and effort. In the long run, you become entangled in a web of duplicated data across various systems that can no longer be untangled without the risk of data loss or massive time investment. If you have relied on a cheap provider or a company in a different legal jurisdiction, it can quickly happen that you can’t access your data, whether due to a change in the business model, the provider’s bankruptcy, or legal changes in the international environment. It is often easier to bring data into systems than to migrate it out again. An initially “cheap” solution scales poorly, and after committing to the provider, you end up paying more with growing usage than you would with a different solution.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
